Wind Farm Field Service Technician

Overview Wind Farm Field Service Technician (Crudine Ridge). Crudine Ridge Wind Farm, located on Wiradjuri Country, 45km south of Mudgee in NSW. Featuring 37 GE 3.8MW turbines generating enough clean energy to power more than 75,000 homes annually. This project contributes to Australia’s renewable energy goals. You’ll be working at the forefront of renewable energy, maintaining and troubleshooting wind turbines at sites in Australia. Expect varied days, including climbing turbines, solving technical challenges, and helping to keep wind power turning. Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines and site infrastructure Follow GE manuals, specifications, and work instructions to perform assigned tasks and inspections Conduct maintenance, fault finding, and high voltage switching operations as required Participate in annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchanges, and fault finding Use GE software tools to maintain reports and submit technical queries Ensure compliance with JSA, LOTO, EHS policies, and report issues promptly Make a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspections Report errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systems Embrace a 37.5-hour work week, with opportunities for overtime as approved and participate in on-call rosters for after-hours or weekend work as directed Qualifications, Requirements & Competencies Qualified Electrician or a qualified Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter with electrical aptitude Proficient in fault finding (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment) Proficient in using computer systems and tools for monitoring work and managing documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills in English A current unrestricted driver's license Ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights; comfortable with heights A commitment to the highest safety standards, high performance, continuous improvement and delivering the right solutions Independent, solutions-focused, and well-organized in managing tasks Open to travel to other sites as required Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes #J-18808-Ljbffr
