Role Description We are seeking a hands‑on and technically strong R&D Chemist to join our laboratory team. This role focuses on formulating, testing, evaluating, and improving products across multiple categories, including personal care, home care, and specialised cleaning products. The R&D Chemist will: Develop, mix, and optimise formulations according to product briefs Conduct stability, compatibility, benchmarking, and performance testing Evaluate raw materials and support SDS, INCI, and technical documentation Troubleshoot formulation challenges using structured technical problem‑solving Collaborate with QA, Production, Procurement, and Commercial teams Support production trials, scale‑ups, and customer‑facing innovation Ensure compliance with AICIS, TGA, APVMA, IFRA, and other regulatory standards Contribute to innovation workshops and continuous improvement projects Qualifications Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Formulation Science, or related discipline Experience in formulation development (personal care, home care, or FMCG) Knowledge of surfactants, emulsions, pH adjustment, rheology, and basic analytical methods Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation practices Ability to interpret test results and apply scientific reasoning Understanding of product stability, safety, and regulatory compliance Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills Desirable: Experience with manufacturing scale‑ups Knowledge of fragrance chemistry, IFRA categories, and ingredient selection Familiarity with GLP and good laboratory practices Curiosity, innovation mindset, and willingness to learn new methods Benefits Professional Development: Full training and onboarding Exposure to academic partnerships and research collaborations Access to workshops, innovation sessions, and technical upskilling Potential for future growth in role Technical Environment: Fully equipped formulation and testing laboratories Work with cutting‑edge raw materials and emerging technologies Work Culture & Perks: Supportive, collaborative technical centre team Strong customer‑facing exposure Long‑term career development pathways Lifestyle & Other Perks: Central Coast location—balanced coastal lifestyle living Stable, Australian-owned company with long-standing industry reputation Access to TrendPac Dollar Rewards —because great work deserves recognition KPI rewards program A culture built on trust, innovation, and continuous improvement #J-18808-Ljbffr
