Job Introduction Food Services Assistant Location: Ipswich Hospital Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 07:30 am – 14:45 pm (6.75 hrs per day, 13.5 hrs per week) Pay: £12.51 per hour Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and ensuring patients receive nutritious meals in a caring environment? Join our team as a Food Services Assistant and make a real difference every weekend. What You’ll Do Accurately take patient refreshment orders, including dietary and allergy requirements. Assemble and present patient meals to a high standard. Deliver meals to patients’ rooms, ensuring comfort and assistance where needed. Maintain hygiene standards by cleaning crockery, cutlery, trays, and ward kitchen areas. Monitor stock control and complete all required documentation. Communicate politely and professionally with patients and staff at all times. What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a similar role. Excellent presentation and customer service skills. Good communication and literacy skills. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential). Why join us?
