We’re seeking a Director – Risk to champion best-practice valuation standards, oversee technical quality, and partner closely with senior leaders, compliance, and valuers across Australia. This is a national role and can be based in any major metropolitan city , offering the flexibility to shape your environment and lead from where you perform best. Key Responsibilities Lead comprehensive Quality Assurance reviews across residential, commercial, specialised and agribusiness reports Oversee valuation countersigning and risk assessment , including valuer risk profiling Develop, refine, and embed national risk policies, procedures and standards Support valuation divisions through structured risk identification, assessment and advisory Participate in divisional and national risk audit programs Review and disseminate technical papers, new API standards and industry updates Maintain strong, proactive relationships with bank/lender risk executives and major clients Engage with key industry bodies including the API , Valex and other professional groups Ensure compliance with Approved Lender Lists and client standing instructions Be a visible leader and mentor—uplifting capability, technical confidence and professional discipline across the business What You Bring Minimum 10+ years’ practical valuation experience Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) accreditation (current) Completion of API Standing Instructions & mandatory training Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, risk frameworks and lender requirements A reputation for accuracy, quality, and well-considered professional judgement Ability to coach, educate and influence valuers at all levels Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders Why This Opportunity Is Compelling A national leadership role with genuine influence across the organisation Opportunities to shape technical standards and strengthen national governance frameworks Represent the business in national industry forums — be a recognised voice in valuation excellence Join a supportive culture backed by values that drive behaviour, innovation and ethical decision-making Work within a respected, stable and growing property advisory business with a strong national footprint How to Apply If you’re a skilled CPV ready to step into a nationally recognised leadership role—and influence valuation quality and risk nationwide we’d love to hear from you.
