As an Aviation Screening officer in our newly created division, ARMSEC, you are part of a pivotal role ensuring the safety and security for passengers and staff. This role engages positively with people while monitoring for threats and responding to emergencies. Key areas: Operating various points of the screening process; ensuring passengers, staff, visitors, and their possessions are safely checked and cleared for entry Controlling access to security‑sensitive areas by undertaking physical searches, identifying dangerous or hazardous items, and always remaining vigilant Screening for any security threats in checked and oversized baggage Providing the best possible customer service in a safe and professional manner Undertaking emergency response action plan in the event of a security threat Watching for irregularities and reporting incidents to the appropriate authority Are you the one? Focusing on the delivery of high quality, customer‑focused security services, the successful applicant will demonstrate commitment to providing a safe and memorable travel experience. This role is based at the Avalon Airport and requires flexibility in working shifts/rotating roster. You can demonstrate: Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (currently hold or willing to obtain) Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Current First Aid Certificate A security mindset, with a keen focus on compliance and safety Strong customer service and communication skills A knack for problem solving and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment Collaboration and teamwork skills Able to commit to shifts across a 7‑day roster including AM, PM and weekends Proficiency in a second language is desirable but not essential.
