Located in Muchea 6501, Watertorqueis a localbusiness, established in Western Australia for over 18 years. We specialise in complete water systems for domestic, rural and commercial applications. We are seeking an irrigation technician to join our team on a full‑time basis. Are you the person we are searching for? Working as part of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of water systems. The role would suit someone who likes the outdoors & would like the opportunity to work in regional areas on an occasional basis across the state. Our team currently includes members with irrigation, agricultural & plumbing experience, however these are not a minimum requirement. Reporting to the Installations Manager, the role requires an enthusiastic approach and ability to learn new skills, with willingness to work away, perform a wide array of tasks and work within a team environment. Responsibilities Your duties will include but not be limited to: Assembly of steel water storage tanks and associated connections (see YouTube link at bottom of ad) Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, including pumps Solar pumping systems, including pumps, control modules, array frames and panels Poly welding (electro-fusion & butt-fusion) manifolds and pipelines Travelling irrigator (centre pivot) installation and maintenance Perform duties in accordance with relevant safety policies and procedures About You Unrestricted rights to work within Australia (Australian citizen or permanent residence visa holder) Physically fit and able to perform physical tasks in sometimes difficult conditions Proactive approach with strong problem solving skills Able to work in a team environment and independently White Card (or willingness to obtain) Hold a manual drivers license, MR or HR license desirable About the role The position of irrigation technician is a hands‑on role, on tools, as part of our team working on varied job sites. The crews are generally made up of a team of two with additional resources for larger projects. The applicant needs to have excellent work fitness, an eye for detail, good organisational skills & passion for working outdoors. This job is based in Muchea, allowing the applicant to work a Monday – Friday work week, however there are regular occurrences where the project location will require the applicant to work away, with additional allowances paid for these events. The business will provide all tooling & training to ensure the applicant has the means necessary to fulfil the role. Remunerations can be reviewed once the applicant has completed the trial period & has demonstrated the ability to complete the tasks required.
