Corporate LawyerThe Corporate Lawyer is responsible for providing legal advice and governance services to ensure the organisation operates within legal boundaries and complies with relevant legislation.Duties include:Develop and implement legal and compliance programs, policies, and procedures.Monitor emerging legal developments and identify opportunities for improvement in legal and governance compliance.Advise on, negotiate, and draft commercial contracts and manage legal documentation.Provide legal advice and identify legal and commercial risks.Monitor proposed and new legislation and regulatory developments.Manage external legal service providers to ensure efficient and effective legal services.Assist with privacy matters and develop policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.Deliver training programs and communications on relevant legal issues.Support company secretary procedures, processes, and administration of meetings.About YouFour or more years of experience in Corporate/Commercial lawTertiary qualifications in LawCurrent Practice Certificate as an Australian legal practitionerDemonstrated capability of building knowledge in other areas of lawStrong understanding and experience in the commercial and legal requirements of the contract lifecycleHighly developed written communication skills for developing legal, policy, and regulatory documentsBenefits and PerksPackage up to
