This role offers the opportunity to work within a faith‑based setting that values holistic, child‑centred learning. Introduction St Philip’s Christian College is a rapidly growing network of learning communities continuing its journey to deliver holistic Christian education that develops the whole child – emotionally, intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. Our team thrives on fostering strong working relationships that continue to encourage innovative and effective change, benefiting both students and staff while staying true to the college’s core values: Christ first, serve one another, strive for excellence, do what is right, and build community. Pray with staff for the centre’s needs and maintain confidentiality with centre matters. Engage in regular staff evaluation examining personal, spiritual, and professional development. Act in a manner that promotes the best interests of the child and promote high‑quality education and care curricula consistent with service philosophy, national regulations, and the Early Years Learning Framework. Engage children in learning opportunities responsive to meaningful moments, intentional interactions, the child’s agency and choice, routine times, information technology, and environmental sustainability. Model positive interactions and respect children’s similarities, differences, cultures and diversities, while maintaining dignity and supporting emotional, social and well‑being needs. Provide physical care, including toileting, dressing, meal times, and view all these moments as teaching opportunities. Support children’s individual well‑being and comfort in sleep, rest and relaxation. Ensure the day’s operations are prepared, the environment reflects curiosity and problem‑solving, acknowledges the indoor and outdoor environments as the ‘third teacher’, and provokes sustainable practices.
