Narnia Trainee Waratah Part Time – 32.5 hours per week role at Bendigo Advertiser Overview St Philip’s Christian College is a rapidly growing network of learning communities dedicated to delivering holistic Christian education that develops the whole child – emotionally, intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. Responsibilities Provide education and care for children enrolled at the Service according to the National Quality Framework. Collaborate with other educators, room leaders, educational leader, and nominated supervisor. Uphold the vision of the centre, support Biblical values and teach Biblical truths. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in daily life. Support the team in providing an inclusive environment, role‑model positive interactions and maintain each child’s dignity and rights. Engage children in learning opportunities that are responsive to meaningful moments, intentional interactions and children’s agency and choice. Support families and maintain professional interactions with families at all times. Participate in staff evaluation and continuous professional learning. Ensure compliance with child protection, child safe standards and mandatory reporter duties. Qualifications & Essential Skills Willingness to work in partnership with families and support the other staff in room/centre. Effective communication skills with adults and children. Understanding of Child Protection legislation and its implications. Ability to reflect on performance and engage in ongoing professional learning. Ability to contribute as a team member to work, health and safety issues in the centre. Dynamic and supportive member of the team of educators meeting the standards of high‑quality care.
