Our projects span across aerospace, space, aviation, defence, rail, and nuclear including: OneSKY Air Traffic Management System Nancy Bird Walton, Western Sydney International Airport Queensland Train Manufacturing Project Inland Rail TfNSW Digital Systems Program The role As part of the day‑to‑day tasks of the role, you will: Create and review Safety Assurance Plans for client projects that address the full system lifecycle Develop and review Safety Assurance Statements and Reports Provide justification of achievement of Safety So Far As is Reasonably Practicable (SFAIRP) Manage and review Hazard Logs associated with various projects Participate in and facilitate hazard identification and assessments such as PHA, SHA, FMECA, HAZOP, etc. Use engineering change management tools to ensure design modifications are adequately assessed Construct safety arguments using GSN and CAE Engage in the derivation of safety‑related requirements and in verifying and validating them through relevant project lifecycle stages Advise on the safe design and installation of safety‑critical systems About you Relevant degree in engineering, computer science or risk/safety At least 2 years’ experience working in Systems Safety / RAMS Experience working in a safety or systems engineering role within aviation or defence industries Authoring and editing safety plans and safety cases using GSN and/or CAE methodologies Demonstrated experience in the application of safety regulations such as International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Regulations and Certification Thorough understanding of Australian safety‑related legislation such as WHS and CASR High level communication and negotiation skills, including advanced report‑writing skills Experience with Air Traffic Management Systems or communications systems Experienced with Space Industry Regulations and practices Airworthiness and Part 21.J Design Certification Benefits of working at Plan Safe Be part of a passionate and caring team Exciting and varied projects We walk the talk on Diversity and Inclusion Be mentored by industry leaders Professional memberships and subscriptions Flexible working options (remote and hybrid working arrangements) Exposure to different industries and projects Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Consulting and Engineering, Business Consulting and Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
