Our school is in Western Sydney on the land of the Darug people and we also share our site with Bidwill Public School, giving us a uniquely family oriented, community atmosphere and culture. We have a diverse student population with an enrolment of 670 students in 2023, with 21% Aboriginal students and 40% students with a Pacific Islander background. Our Support Unit caters for the needs of 62 students including students in Stage 6. We focus on fostering a culture of high expectations and a shared commitment from all members of our school community to wellbeing, engagement, learning and success in and beyond school. We provide quality education that enables our students to develop attributes and skills to achieve their full potential and to succeed in their chosen post‑school pathway. Specific Selection Criteria Approval to teach special education and/or experience in teaching students with a mild to moderate intellectual disability, Physical Disability, Autism, and complex needs including mental health, emotional disturbance and behaviour difficulties and having quality classroom practice with highly developed management skills which enhance student engagement through enriched, differentiated, and individualised learning programs. Demonstrated capacity to contribute positively to the Support Unit Faculty and effectively collaborate to support the holistic development of students combined with excellent interpersonal skills that strengthen student, parent/carer relationships, including Aboriginal families. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
