Professor Rural Generalism – Continuing Part Time Appointment (0.2 FTE) Teaching Focused Academic Level E – annual salary of $195,391, on pro rata basis. Provide academic leadership and drive excellence in rural generalism education, research, and clinical training within the CDU Menzies Medical Program. About the Position As the Professor Rural Generalism, you will provide academic leadership in the discipline of Rural Generalism within the CDU Menzies Medical Program and make significant and innovative contributions in the areas of academic leadership, accreditation, teaching, assessment, and evaluation. About You To be successful, you will require: A medical qualification registrable with AHPRA. Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM. Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster academic achievement in others with demonstrated leadership in research and scholarship. Extensive clinical practice experience in Rural and Remote Practice with excellent standing as a medical practitioner. Experience working as a clinical teacher and/or supervisor with either or both medical students and/or junior doctors and specialist trainees. Experience in leadership in medical education, teaching and assessment in medical school and postgraduate training settings. Demonstrated experience in designing and conducting health services and clinical research in remote and rural health service setting. High level interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with a diverse range of people. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external). Demonstrated organisational skills and management of administrative tasks.
