Associate Professor Speech Pathology and Hearing Health Continuing, Full Time Appointment | Commencing January HE Academic Level DAnnual salary $162,335 – $177,588 pa + 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave Casuarina Campus | Larrakia Country About the Position As the Associate Professor in Speech Pathology and Hearing Health, you will be responsible for providing high-level leadership and fostering excellence in research, supervision and teaching within the Faculty of Health. The role is a senior position that requires vision and energy to contribute fully through teaching, learning and research to the Northern Territory, national and international contexts. It will drive forward engagement and impact in research, teaching and community engagement to develop Speech Pathology and Hearing Health at Charles Darwin University. Objectives Increase the credibility and visibility of CDU's Speech Pathology, Audiology and Audiometry programmes. Innovate and lead the development of Speech Pathology and Hearing Health programmes at CDU. Increase relevant networks to ensure strong community engagement within the Northern Territory, Sydney and nationally. Develop and lead a robust research programme in Speech Pathology and Hearing Health. About You To be successful, you will require: PhD or Professional Doctorate in a related field and proven experience in a similar role with an established research profile, including evidence of research activity and outcomes, or significant leadership / clinical experience in Speech Pathology or Audiology. An established research profile with major original and innovative research activity, such as publications, external grants and / or consultancies at national and international level. Evidence of the ability to lead the scholarship of teaching and learning and promote and disseminate such activities within the Faculty of Health, with demonstrated understanding of a university learning environment and equity programmes, and supportive education for diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated experience in leading innovative curriculum development, preparation and delivery of online education programmes in speech pathology and related fields. Excellent professional teamwork with high-level communication skills, including oral, written, ICT and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to represent the university at a range of forums and liaise with stakeholders to deliver a valued service. Demonstrated ability to develop and use flexible / online computer-based learning materials to suit a diverse student body. Knowledge and experience using an online learning system and experience developing engaging, contemporary curriculum and content. Willingness to embrace the knowledge, skills and ideals of clinical practice in rural and remote areas. Remuneration Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level D. The base salary will be in the range of $162,335 – $177,588 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $189,931 – $207,777 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
