About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detailed-oriented HSEQ Manager to join the team at A One Earthworks. The HSEQ Manager will work closely with Senior Managers and other key stakeholders to achieve safe establishment, operations and continuous improvement of overall HSEQ Performance. Regular travel to project sites across regional NSW and ACT will be required. Based in Head Office in Newcastle or Canberra. Key Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of our HSEQ management systems (including quality, environment and safety) to ensure alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001. Lead health, safety, quality and environmental initiatives across the business. Provide advice and guidance to operational teams, management and contractors on HSEQ system requirements, procedures, work instructions and audits. Conduct internal and external audits and inspections, identify non-conformances, lead corrective and preventative actions and track system improvement initiatives. Analyse HSEQ data, prepare reports and dashboards for Senior Management that measure system effectiveness, trend risk areas and identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain knowledge of current HSEQ legislation, industry standards and best practice. Conduct inductions, onboarding of subcontractors, training and competency assessment of new and existing workers. Support incident investigations, root-cause controls and ensure system learning and dissemination of alerts/lessons learnt across the business. Facilitate competence, training and awareness across the business. Ensure training needs analysis undertaken regularly and audits to ensure employees are competent and qualified undertake their roles. Maintain document control, versioning, system records and ensure accessibility of system artefacts and support certification/recertification processes. Selection Criteria Minimum 3 years’ experience in HSEQ (preferably in construction). Current Australian Drivers Licence. White Card (essential). Strong understanding of relevant legislation, EBAs and Awards, WHS legislation. Previous experience in managing a small team. Level 2 First Aid. Certificate IV in WHS or higher. Intermediate Office 365, Word, Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills. Experience with incident investigation methodologies. What We Offer Newcastle based role with regular travel across regional NSW and the ACT.
