As a Sterilisation Technician Grade 2, you will manage the decontamination, cleaning, packaging, and sterilisation of surgical instruments, maintaining infection control standards and mentoring Grade 1 Technicians. What You'll Be Doing Perform operational activities for reusable medical devices in accordance with AS/NZS 4187:2014 Work independently under general supervision while supporting the Sterilising Services Department Mentor Grade 1 Sterilisation Technicians Maintain compliance with AS 5369:2023, Infection Prevention & Control, and WH&S requirements Qualifications & Experience Certificate II or III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent Experience working in a hospital sterilisation services department Knowledge of AS 5369:2023, infection prevention, and WH&S practices Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays for a 7‑day/24‑hour service How to Apply Submit a detailed response answering the following questions: Describe your experience working in a Hospital Sterilising Services Department and how you ensure compliance with AS 5369:2023, Infection Prevention and Control, and WH&S requirements when processing complex medical devices.
