We have an exciting opportunity for a highly capable, motivated and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team. Reporting Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will have a hands on role in the safe provision of general preventative and reactionary maintenance. The role includes, but is not limited to: The role Respond to repair and maintenance requests on a daily basis and complete tasks in a timely manner; Complete minor repair work, which includes but is not limited to: repairing doors, locks, door frames and handles, painting as well as replacing light bulbs; Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking taps and toilets; Assist in organisation of rubbish removal; Ensure all work carried out complies with legislative and safety regulations; Assess and carry out daily and periodic maintenance work to ensure the functionality of the Club premises; Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards; and Assist with the coordinating of tradespeople and contractor works. This role is a permanent full time position – Monday to Friday. Qualifications Trade skills e.g. carpentry, plumbing and/or electrical skills desirable; Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office; The ability to safely operate hand and power tools as well as cleaning equipment; Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good relationships with both staff and patrons; Ability to liaise with services and trades people in a professional manner; Strong problem‑solving skills; Strong attention to detail; Excellent communication and organisation skills; Possess a courteous and supportive nature; and Possess a valid Driver’s License.
