Excellent rates: $38- $50 depending on experience About the Role: 5 Tonne Press brake 110 Tonne press brake Plate Roll 3M x 16mm Requirements: Minimum 5 years proven experience as a press or roll operator. Forklift ticket (desirable) Willingness to learn The successful candidate must have the following skills/qualifications: Must have experience or willingness to learn to run a Press Brake and Plate Roll machines Attention to detail is essential Good mechanical aptitude Be able to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously Must be able to comprehensively read and understand drawings Excellent communication skills Must take pride in their work Punctuality, reliability, efficiency, sound work ethic and initiative are essential Must be able to stand for long periods and be able to operate the foot press on the floor. Candidates with a stable work history and experience within a manufacturing environment are preferred. Salary will depend on experience Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate brake press machines to accurately bend and shape metal plates and sheets. Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine the specifications for each job. Select and install the appropriate tooling and machine settings for each operation. Position and align metal plates and sheets onto the press brake machine according to precise measurements. Adjust machine settings, including speed, pressure, and depth, to achieve precise bending and shaping. Continuously monitor machine operations, adjusting as needed to maintain efficiency and quality. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the required dimensions and quality standards. Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on press brake machines to keep them in optimal working condition. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or elevate to the maintenance team when necessary. Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised workspace to ensure a safe working environment. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience operating press brake machines with knowledge of various bending techniques. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications. Great communication skills Excellent mathematical skills for accurate measurement and calculation of dimensions. High attention to detail and a commitment to precision in all bending and shaping tasks. Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity when handling metal sheets and plates. Knowledge of various metals and their properties in relation to bending operations. Good troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving minor machine issues. Ability to manage time effectively to meet production deadlines. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and problem-solving. Capability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
