About You You are a highly self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently without supervision while still contributing to a team environment. With a commitment to safety, you consistently adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safe work practices. Physically fit and capable, you are prepared to handle the demanding nature of ground-based Arborist duties, which include manual handling tasks. You’re also eager to gain training and proficiency in the operation of essential machinery, such as chainsaws, woodchippers, and other related equipment. For the right person we offer assistance in further training, and can offer an apprenticeship for 2026 if interested in pursuing a career in tree works. In addition, you will also have: A current QLD drivers license and own transport to get to and from work essential School Certificate or higher, or relevant working experience Own PPE Equipment Experience working in manual labour MR LICENSE highly desirable, but not essential Chainsaw License highly desirable but not essential Citizen or permanent resident of Australia About the Role We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Groundie/Labourer to join our Arboristteam. As a Groundie, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Arborists and Tree Technicians in the execution of tree maintenance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working outdoors and contributing to the preservation of green spaces. Our day starts at 7am at the depot in Peregian Beach, with typical days finishing around 1pm, but can be up to 3pm with lunch break. Our day can vary with some days finishing early, but we aim for work life balance and look after our team. You will be paid a set day rate, regardless of hours worked. We also offer incentives and bonuses pending performance. We believe in looking after our team and having a great culture, we work hard and reward well. What we’re offering Minimum 3 days per week, can be flexible with days and additional days available week to week.
