Let’s make a meaningful difference, together Your part in our St Andrews War Memorial Hospital team As an Anaesthetic Technician you will provide support to the Cardiac Catheter Theatre team and be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. Accountabilities Will Include Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of the perioperative patient. Recognise the changing needs of clients and act to meet those needs. Respond to changes in the patient’s anaesthetic condition. Perform clinical procedures commensurate with the level of educational preparation/competency. Pre-empt and protect the rights and safety of the patient. Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needs change or grow, consistent with the above and within the scope of the position. What makes a difference for us? Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology or equivalent Australian Working Rights (We are unable to provide sponsorships at this time) Previous experience as an Anaesthetic Technician in an acute healthcare facility. Knowledge of advanced anaesthetic equipment, monitoring techniques, and emergency management protocols. Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with multiple complex cases. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to handle stressful and dynamic situations. Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
