Responsibilities Work in a busy, 14‑theatre setting, including a hybrid theatre for cutting‑edge procedures. Manage high‑acuity and emergency cases that require rapid assessment and intervention. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless care for patients undergoing complex and urgent surgeries. Provide anaesthetic support for a wide range of complex surgeries, including cardiac, paediatric and neuro operations. Mentor and guide junior nurses and theatre staff in the provision of anaesthetic care. Qualifications Anaesthetic Technician qualification. Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience as an anaesthetic assistant in an operating theatre environment. Australian working rights (no sponsorship available). Experience in complex anaesthesia care, including cardiac, paediatric and neuro surgeries. Knowledge of advanced anaesthetic equipment, monitoring techniques and emergency management protocols. Ability to work efficiently in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment with multiple complex cases. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to handle stressful and dynamic situations. Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence‑based practice. Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements. Desirable Attributes Experience working in a hybrid operating theatre or advanced surgical settings. Advanced Life Support (ALS) or similar resuscitation certification. Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent (for paediatric anaesthesia care).
