Opportunity for a hands-on General Manager, Engineering Manager or Senior Technical Consultant to drive the strategic direction & development of this Australian owned and operated success story. They are currently seeking an experienced hands-on General Manager, Engineering Manager or Senior Technical Consultant who will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business including investigation from both a commercial and technical perspective. In this client facing role and you will be dealing with international prime contractors, OEMs and industry leaders. Strong engineering consulting and project management experience, along with a background in product development, testing and verification will enable you to be successful in this role and to drive future growth. As the General Manager you will also be responsible for P&L, technical leadership, people and systems management, developing new business opportunities and continuous improvement with respect to reliability, efficiency and quality. Responsibilities include: Responsibility for P&L ensuring revenues in excess of target and yearly growth Strategic direction focusing on both financial and technical elements Develop the businesses brand both locally and internationally Prepare, issue and negotiate quotations Procedural and process implementation and management Management, motivation and technical direction of staff Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients Investigate, devise plans for and create business in new or existing markets Investigate and expand on internal technical capabilities Develop the business with respect to reliability, efficiency, quality and safety Client liaison to ensure the highest level of satisfaction and to improve services Should you feel that you have some, rather than all of the skills below, we are still interested in hearing from you. Ideally you will have/be: Degree or higher qualification in Engineering or other related technical field of study (e.g. Science) Mechanical or scientific engineering skills ideally with a test and evaluation focus Experience setting commercial and technical strategic direction Managed a small or medium team of Engineers P&L, group KPI, cost analysis, growth and diversification experience Experience in technical engineering consulting services Experience designing and executing programs within product development and certification Experience with specification and integration of data acquisition methodologies Developed and maintained procedures and processes Significant experience in a test and evaluation environment Budgeting, cost analysis and resource management experience Strong networking, decision making, planning, time management and problem-solving skills Motivated, process driven, adaptable, flexible, organised, attention to detail, data driven and safety focused Ability to talk technically and at senior management level Excellent verbal and written communication skills For a confidential discussion, please contact Andy Forbes on . #J-18808-Ljbffr
