Lead UX Designer

Lead UX Designer Conserve It is looking for a Lead UX Designer to join a growing Software Development team. The successful applicant will drive a cohesive User Experience across our suite of products and solutions. Reporting to the Head of Research & Development, you will collaborate with Developers, Product Managers and Engineers to shape the future of our design systems and user journeys. If you’re successful, you will have the opportunity to reinvent the UX direction of our suite of solutions that focuses on Building Facilities Automation and Monitoring, Data Centres Operations, and Energy Savings Management and Optimization. The role includes a mix of a cloud‑hosted SaaS platform, on‑site devices touchscreen User Interface, and smartphone applications. Key responsibilities include: Design a cohesive set of UX Guidelines & Systems to unify the experience of both new and pre‑existing software solutions Conduct user research and map out user journeys Design intuitive and consistent user interaction processes and workflows Document UX Guidelines in a clear and intuitive format Design wireframes, mock‑ups and interactive prototypes Implement the UX vision in formats that can be directly integrated by the software development team, such as Design Systems Design modern and intuitive User Experience within the constraints of the existing Brand design language and industry‑specific expectations Drive the design of user data tracking systems to feed actual user interactions so that the User Experience can be continuously improved and engagement monitored Maintain and improve UX design systems & guidelines over time Document and execute user test plans to refine UX design Participate in project and development planning meetings Use and contribute to the use of project planning, issue tracking and software documentation tools Essential skills and experience: At least 5 years of UX/UI design experience Proficiency in Design & Prototyping tools such as Figma Experience with ReactJS and the ShadCN library Experience with user research, usability testing, and accessibility best practices Bachelor of Design, Computer Science or equivalent Experience working with agile methodologies in a team with diverse skills and a highly technical environment Experience working within the Energy, Data Centre, Automation or HVAC industry Experience or exposure to Tridium’s Niagara Framework Experience or exposure to SkyFoundry’s SkySpark framework Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Salary: A$120,000.00 - A$135,000.00 per annum Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Conserve It by 2x The Company At Conserve It, our mission is to make buildings smarter through innovation, reliability and efficient energy‑saving solutions.
