7 month role Brisbane CBD based Working arrangements are 4 days in office, 1 day remote per week Our Queensland Government client is seeking a Systems Administrator (Vulnerability Specialist) with extensive experience remediating vulnerabilities across different platforms. You will possess a strong technical background, combined with excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. You will: Remediate and mitigate Cyber Security vulnerabilities through patching, configuration changes and system upgrades. Perform the entire lifecycle of vulnerability remediation including planning, change control, testing and implementation. Assist with the development of automated patching strategies to automate the regular rollout of patches in line with the ACSC Essential 8 Implement automated patching systems to rollout both operating system and application patches to a diverse range of technologies comprising servers, workstations and IoT devices. Implement group policy, Intune policy or scripting solutions to remediate configuration vulnerabilities across servers, workstations, mobile devices and IoT devices. The following experience will be highly regarded: At least 5 years of experience in IT Operations, System Administration, or similar technical roles Proven experience in deploying, configuring and maintaining a diverse range of IT infrastructure including, Windows Servers, Active Directory, SQL clusters, Commvault, Group Policy, VMware ESX clusters, mobile devices and IoT devices. Proven experience configuring and managing Intune, Azure update manager, server monitoring systems. Familiarity with Linux environments Solid understanding of ITIL or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks. Recent experience in vulnerability management, particularly within large enterprise, corporate, or government settings Exceptional problem‑solving skills, with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to innovate and operate under pressure with multiple stakeholders Closing Date 30 November 2025 For more information, please contact Angela Anderson at #J-18808-Ljbffr
