Join Casa Services as a Client Transport Officer - Client Transport Officer (Day Program) Casual | Alice Springs, NT Are you an experienced and reliable person looking for a role that makes a real impact? Casa Services is seeking a compassionate Client Transport Officer to join our Day Program team in Alice Springs. This is a casual role, supporting our services by providing safe and reliable transport for clients on a Monday to Friday basis. This role is more than just driving. It's about ensuring our clients can access social, recreational, and therapeutic activities with dignity and independence. As a key part of our service delivery, you will build positive relationships and contribute to the well-being of the people we support. What you'll be doing Safely transporting clients to and from the day program following scheduled routes Assisting clients with mobility needs, including helping them enter and exit vehicles Maintaining accurate transport records and records of incidents Completing basic safety checks on the vehicle and reporting any maintenance issues Communicating respectfully and effectively with clients, staff, and program managers to foster positive and professional relationships Upholding confidentiality and demonstrating respect for client rights, privacy, and cultural backgrounds. Qualifications and Licences: NT C Class driver licence; Heavy Rigid (HR) licence highly desirable. Current NDIS worker screening clearance. Current national police clearance evidencing no driving offenses. Evidence of right to work in Australia. COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses + booster). First aid certificate, including current CPR. Experience And Skills At least 5 years of professional driving experience Confidence in operating heavy rigid vehicles and a strong understanding of road rules Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques A strong commitment to client safety and well-being. Bonus Points Current working with children’s card Experience working with vulnerable or diverse populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples Knowledge of the local Alice Springs area and routes.
