Brighter Futures Case Manager

The Opportunity We are currently looking for an energetic and experienced Case Manager to join our Brighter Futures team. This exciting position involves providing intensive case work for families with children, focusing on parental vulnerabilities and making quality improvements to family functioning. Brighter Futures aims to improve children’s wellbeing and prevent them from entering the OOHC system. The team is committed and compassionate, partnering with families, DCJ and non‑government service providers to preserve family structure and strengthen functioning while keeping children safe. Location and Compensation Location: Toronto This role is paid under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010 – Level 5 Why work for us? 14 weeks paid maternity leave or 3 weeks paid parental pay + super contributions after 12 months Salary packaging on a range of everyday living expenses (mortgage, rent and bills) up to $611/fortnight Up to 40% off on school enrolment fees at any of our Newcastle Anglican schools Meals & entertainment salary packaging up to $2,650 Access to a Fitness Passport (over 300 gyms) Free access to our corporate Employee Assistance Program Flexible working options (including compressed week, RDO’s, 9‑day fortnights) Career and development opportunities The opportunity to work within an innovative, collaborative team environment Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science or related field Current driver’s licence and excellent knowledge of local referral and resource options Experience and highly developed skills in assessment, case planning and ongoing case management with vulnerable children and families Experience delivering evidence‑based programs and willingness to engage in coaching and support around fidelity Knowledge and understanding of child development, complex trauma and the child protection framework within NSW, including Safe Home for Life and domestic and family violence reform initiatives High level of planning, prioritising and organisational skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients, team members, community members and other stakeholders Well‑developed knowledge of CALD community needs and issues as they relate to the care of children and young people Requirements NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check, first aid & CPR certificate Pre‑employment functional medical assessment Who we are Newcastle Anglican is the core of a range of well‑known organisations throughout Newcastle, Hunter, Central Coast & Mid North Coast.
