About the Job A leading Australian food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the operations of one of its key Queensland production facilities. The site plays a critical role in supplying major retail and industrial customers across Australia and operates within a high-volume, multi-line environment. This is a pivotal leadership position focused on performance, structure, and engagement — bringing operational stability and a clear direction for the team. The Organisation This is a long-established FMCG manufacturer with strong brand partnerships and a reputation for quality and reliability. The company has made significant investments in process capability, maintenance, and people development and continues to strengthen its operations across the country. The business has a strong safety and quality focus, and the culture is built around accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Opportunity The Site Manager will lead all aspects of site operations, including production, packaging, maintenance, and warehousing. The role will suit a leader who is hands‑on, organised, and focused on driving a strong team culture. Key priorities Leading the on‑site leadership team across production, packaging, quality, and maintenance functions. Setting clear direction and expectations to strengthen culture and performance. Building collaboration between departments and ensuring consistent communication across the site. Lifting operational standards around safety, quality, and reliability. Supporting site efficiency projects and process improvements. Partnering with national functions across Safety, Finance, and Supply Chain to align on systems and priorities. Maintaining a strong floor presence and visible leadership style. Skills and Experience Experience acrossleadership transformation, being to influence change and practically share examples of doing so Proven experience in a senior site or operations leadership role within FMCG or food manufacturing. Strong leadership and team development skills with a practical, steady approach. Solid understanding of production systems, maintenance, and quality management. Experience applying Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies to achieve measurable outcomes. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. High level of ownership and accountability with the ability to lead through change. A background in broader food or ingredient manufacturing will be highly regarded.
