Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School (CHS) was opened in 2006, formerly the site of Eastern Goldfields Senior High School, and proudly offers secondary courses from Year 7 to 10. You will ideally have the ability to deliver the Western Australian Curriculum and have an excellent understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. We seek teachers who have strong classroom management and skills to engage students successfully. The Secondary Generalist teacher will likely teach across two learning areas, depending on the needs of the school. Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school. Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
