Location: Sydney-based role On-site Requirement: 3-4 days in the office per week Why On-site? This is a highly collaborative position involving regular face-to-face workshops and close team interaction, making in-office presence essential. What’s the role? As a Senior Experience Designer, you’ll help transform complex requirements into practical, user-friendly experiences for all users—customers and team members alike. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure transformation initiatives deliver real value and that every detail is thoughtfully considered. Your key responsibilities include advocating for user needs, balancing business and technical constraints, and conducting end-to-end research and prototyping. You’ll deliver high-quality, user-centred designs, facilitate engaging workshops, and leverage data and research to inform decisions. Contributing to the enterprise design system (GEL) and championing best practices are also essential parts of the role. Additionally, you’ll mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and actively participate in the internal design community to uplift team capability and foster a culture of learning and innovation. Collaboration with other designers, product owners, business analysts, subject matter experts, and delivery teams is critical to driving successful outcomes. What do I need? Demonstrated depth of experience in UX or digital product design, particularly within large-scale transformations, financial services, or similarly complex environments. Skilled in designing for back-office services or applications, with a strong ability to use data and research to inform and measure design decisions. Proven capability to build trust and influence across all levels of an organization. Committed to continuous learning, mentorship, and actively contributing to the broader professional community.
