Global company Open to Sydney-based candidates or those willing to relocate Permanent role About the Role Our client is seeking a Senior Angular Developer to join a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team. This is a hands‑on role where you will design and build scalable, enterprise‑grade front-end applications used globally. You will work on advanced Angular architecture, performance optimisation, and modern front‑end engineering practices while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Develop performant, scalable, and maintainable Angular applications using industry best practices. Apply advanced Angular concepts such as change detection strategies, standalone components, lazy loading, and component communication patterns. Implement reactive programming patterns using RxJS, including higher‑order mapping operators (e.g., switchMap, mergeMap). Write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code and contribute to continuous improvement of coding standards. Diagnose and resolve complex UI bugs, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks. Participate in agile ceremonies, project discovery, technical design discussions, and architecture reviews. Skills & Experience Essential Requirements 4+ years' experience building intuitive, robust, and high‑performance Angular frontends. Solid understanding of Angular fundamentals, including: change detection strategies, component lifecycle, dependency injection, component communication patterns, pipes (pure & impure), observables, subjects, and reactive streams. Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architectural principles. Hands‑on experience with automated unit testing. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in diverse, cross‑functional teams. Desirable Skills Experience with NgRx and other state management libraries. Familiarity with standalone components, signals, lazy loading optimisation, and tree shaking. Full‑stack experience with Java back‑end development and REST APIs. Experience with MySQL or similar RDBMS. Working knowledge of Git / SVN / CVS and CI / CD pipelines. Exposure to virtualization, Docker, cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / OCI), monitoring, logging, or API optimisation.
