Trainee - Chemical Coatings Plant Operator - Dandenong South APT Asia Pacific, Australia's largest manufacturer of Synthetic Turf & Sports Floor Coatings, is now hiring a plant operator for our Polymer Coating Plant. We are looking for a casual operator on our day shift (6:00am - 2:00pm) for our Dandenong South production facility. Objective Primary objective will include labelling pails and filling cans; however, forklift license is mandatory chemical experience not mandatory. Responsibilities Assist with labelling pails and filling cans with chemicals - in line with the specification and the systems of work as defined in our ISO 9001 Quality manual. Participate in continuous improvement activities generated by our Quality processes to improve service and productivity. Ensure work is carried out in safety and in compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Maintain a clean and tidy factory area. Other duties as directed by the Production Manager. Qualifications Full understanding of OH&S and Quality Assurance processes and procedures Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment an advantage but not essential Must have a current forklift license or willing to obtain license under training prior to commencing Proven track record of being reliable and punctual Must be an ambitious self-starter Able to carry out manual handling dutiesEducated to year 11 or 12 Rewards and Benefits In return for your expertise, we can offer you an ongoing assignment in a great working environment.
