Occupational Therapist – SS – Reablement Team Location: Salisbury, WiltshirePay Rate: £36.54 per hourContract Type: Locum – OngoingWorking Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid (approximately 50% face-to-face) About the Role This ongoing locum opportunity offers an excellent chance for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Wiltshire Council’s Reablement Team in Salisbury. You will work in a dynamic and progressive service that empowers individuals to regain their independence following illness or hospital admission. As part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, you will use your clinical expertise to assess, plan and deliver reablement interventions that promote recovery, confidence, and sustainable independence. Key Responsibilities Undertake strengths-based assessments to design tailored reablement plans, supporting individuals to enhance their functional independence. Provide expert advice, guidance and training to colleagues on equipment, adaptations, and best practice decision-making. Deliver high-quality, person-centred care with professionalism and compassion. Manage your own caseload and schedule, maintaining flexibility to meet service and client needs. Engage collaboratively with colleagues and benefit from supervision and support provided by the Principal Occupational Therapist. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
