The Sea Change Package offers new prison officers up to $18,000 support to move to the Geelong region. Benefits you will receive include: New $8,000 sign-on bonus: Six months after commencing as a prison officer at our facilities in Lara, you will receive a payment of $4,000. Then, after one year of full-time employment, you will receive an additional payment of $4,000. Up to $10,000 in relocation reimbursements: These funds cover expenses directly incurred by your need to move closer to your workplace. Expenses can include travel, temporary accommodation, removal, storage and more. Note, conditions apply and are listed via our website. What’s in it for you Earn up to $91,202 with a base salary of $63,469 plus penalty rates and overtime Annual salary increases, 5 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave and provisions for study leave 41 days comprehensive paid training (full time) Complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Adult Custodial) Learning and career development opportunities. You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold Australian permanent residency. You also need to hold an Australian driver’s licence (minimum P2) or be able to transfer your international licence prior to commencing training. Want to learn more?
