About the role The National Parks and Wildlife Service is offering an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Support Officer to join the Policy & Engagement team and contribute to the conservation of our natural environment, flora, fauna, and Aboriginal heritage. In this role, you will work closely with the branch support team and Director, assisting with reporting and minor projects, particularly in branch management. You will also provide financial and administrative support across multiple teams including Parks Policy, Priority Projects, Park Systems and Operations, Safety Risk & Compliance, Education and Volunteers, Community Engagement and Communication & Coordination. Your tasks will include system support, procurement and event logistics for the branch. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining the Branch Programs filing system. Providing financial reporting and support. Managing WHS databases and small projects. Coordinating logistics for team events. Acting as the primary point of contact for general administrative requests for the branch and Director, ensuring smooth communication and efficient support. Interviews will likely take place at the end of January 2026 or early February 2026. About You You are a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in administrative support. You have experience in procurement, financial administration, and records management and possess exceptional customer service and stakeholder management skills. You have the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and effectively prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines. Key knowledge and experience Experience in administration including experience in the use of computer based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management systems. Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices, and contract administration.
