Senior Analyst – Real Estate Credit

Base pay range A$130,000.00/yr - A$160,000.00/yr Location Location: Sydney CBD Overview This position supports a Leading Originator within an established private real estate credit platform. It is suited to a commercially minded Senior Analyst with strong credit assessment capability and a desire to broaden exposure across the full transaction lifecycle. The remit includes hands‑on involvement in assessing, structuring and executing commercial property lending opportunities across development, investment and residual stock. It offers a pathway for an analytically strong professional who is ready to take on further responsibility within a fast‑moving lending environment. Key Responsibilities Transaction Assessment and Structuring Lead financial analysis for development, investment and residual stock transactions. Build and refine feasibility models, cashflows, sensitivity analysis and covenant structures. Prepare credit submissions and due diligence materials outlining key risks, mitigants and commercial considerations. Undertake valuation reviews, market assessments and asset‑level analysis to support credit decisions. Deal Execution and Workflow Management Coordinate end‑to‑end transaction processes from initial review through to settlement, working closely with internal credit, legal and operations teams. Assist in structuring terms, pricing and covenants in line with lending parameters and risk appetite. Engage with external stakeholders including brokers, valuers, quantity surveyors and legal advisers. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely progression of transaction milestones. Monitor existing loans including covenant tracking, progress reporting, construction milestones and borrower engagement. Identify early warning indicators and escalate where appropriate. Support reporting obligations across the broader loan portfolio. Pipeline and Business Support Track enquiry flow, manage information and streamline processes to support origination efficiency. Provide insights to assist in prioritising opportunities and managing deal load. Collaborate with the Leading Originator on broader business development and relationship activity where relevant. Candidate Profile Experience Approximately 3–4 years (or more) in one or more of the following areas: Commercial/CRE credit within a bank Structured property finance Non‑bank lending Real estate investment or valuations with strong modelling capability Demonstrated experience assessing transactions between $10m and $100m+ across development and investment categories. Strong working knowledge of feasibility modelling, credit assessment frameworks and transaction execution. Technical Capability Confident in building, interpreting and stress‑testing financial models. Strong analytical capability across complex property transactions. Clear written communication skills with the ability to prepare structured, concise credit papers. Understanding of legal, valuation, planning and QS concepts as they apply to lending. Attributes Commercially minded with sound judgement and an ability to form a credit view. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with confidence interacting with borrowers, brokers and external advisers.
