About the Role Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, theGeneral Manager -Commercialis a key member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for driving all commercial operations of the Brisbane Bullets. This role leads the strategic growth of sponsorship, partnerships, merchandise, and events, ensuring sustainable revenue generation and delivering exceptional value for partners, members, and fans. The successful candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, exceptional relationship skills, and a leadership style that inspires performance, collaboration, and innovation across the business. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop the Commercial team to deliver high-impact outcomes across sponsorship, partnerships, and events. Drive the development and execution of the Club's commercial strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Build and maintain strong corporate partnerships through strategic acquisition, retention, and servicing. Oversee commercial performance reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Oversee major event commercial delivery, ensuring exceptional partner and guest experiences. Manage Game Day activations. This includes assisting and being hands‑on with Game Day operations. This part of the role is active and involves periods of manual work, particularly during event set‑up and pack‑down. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated activations and campaigns that strengthen brand visibility and engagement. Oversee the Club's merchandise strategy and retail performance across all sales channels. About You Proven experience in senior commercial, partnerships, or sponsorship roles, ideally within sport, entertainment, or major events. Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing high-value corporate relationships. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive level. Commercially astute with strong strategic planning, analytical, and budgeting capabilities. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
