Spanish-Speaking Companion for Aged Care Resident - Macquarie Park Are you fluent in Spanish and passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people? We are seeking a warm, friendly Spanish‑speaking volunteer to provide companionship to one of our aged care residents at our Macquarie Park aged care residence. Your time and conversation can bring joy, comfort, and connection to someone who may feel isolated due to language or cultural barriers. Responsibilities Visit the resident for friendly chats in Spanish Share stories, play games, or simply offer a listening ear Help foster a sense of belonging and emotional wellbeing Requirements Fluency in Spanish (native or advanced level) Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in older people Commitment to regular visits (weekly or fortnightly) Benefits Make a meaningful impact in someone's life Be part of a supportive and caring community Gain valuable experience in aged care and cross‑cultural communication Aged care residence is easily accessible by public transport – bus, metro, and parking available.
