About theOPPORTUNITY This role provides continuityof midwifery care within a caseload midwifery led modelthroughout the continuum of pregnancylabour, birth and the postnatal period. The Clinical Midwife workswithin the Midwifery Group Practice setting and provides supportfor the woman either at home or in the hospital. The emphasis ofthis position is on the provision of safe, effective care incollaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Within the MidwiferyGroup Practice setting, the woman and her family is central to thecare, which is provided in a culturally appropriatemanner. To be successful inthis role, you will have… Extensive experience andcommitment working in midwifery led, women'centredmodels of care, with advanced skills across the continuum ofcare. Knowledge of anddemonstrated practice within the boundary of, the currentNursing and Midwifery Board of Australia professional guidancefor Midwives and the Australian College of Midwives NationalMidwifery Guidelines for Consultation and Referral. Demonstrated ability andexperience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanderpeople including demonstrated knowledge and understanding ofthe WA Health Aboriginal Cultural Respect ImplementationFramework. Effective communicationand interpersonal skills. An ability to workindependently and in a multidisciplinary team. Proven commitment toquality improvement activities, customer service and clinicalgovernance within the health care sector.
