Eligible for registration in the category of Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Demonstrated well-developed leadership and management skills that influence and progress clinical care, policy and collaboration. Demonstrated well-developed skills and experience in quality improvement and the development of new systems of care. Demonstrated digital capability across clinical systems which contribute to the provision of quality care. In partnership with the multidisciplinary team leads the establishment and maintenance of a culture of patient safety within their area of specialty and contributes to the Service wide initiatives. Possession of a current Cor C-A Class driver’s licence. Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery. Position Profile: The Clinical Midwife Manager Maternity provides clinical and team leadership, effective management and is responsible for standards of nursing/midwifery practice and monitoring patient care and outcomes in area of responsibility to ensure safe and efficient service provision. The Clinical Midwife Manager Maternity is also responsible for the human, material and financial management of resources within areas of responsibility including KPI and reporting requirements. The position provides a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care and provision of services to internal and external customers. Facilitates a culturally capable service delivery based on a partnership approach with individuals, families and communities to promote participation in their own healthcare. Area Profile WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office.
