North Regional TAFE is seeking to establish an open recruitment pool . We currently have one full-time temporary role for up to 12 months to be filled in January 2026 (with possibility of further term and/or permanency) at our Broome campus. This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, which may include full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term vacancies, with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency. Lecturer – Community Services We are seeking a passionate Lecturer who will be responsible for delivering training and assessment for Community Services qualifications from Certificate II to Diploma level. This role involves facilitating engaging learning experiences, conducting competency‑based assessments, and supporting students across a variety of settings, including classrooms, workplaces, and online environments. As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in preparing students for meaningful careers in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work, and Family Violence by sharing your expertise and industry insights. To be successful, you will have the following… A minimum of 5 years industry or lecturing experience in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work or Family Violence Relevant vocational qualifications at or above Diploma level It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it. A minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Registration Standards  Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024). Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however North Regional TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement. Experience delivering relevant and engaging training in classroom and workplace settings to a diverse range of students, sound verbal and written communication skills, good administration skills including using Microsoft Office products, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
