Open Recruitment Pool North Regional TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool. This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, which may include full‑time, part‑time, permanent or fixed‑term vacancies, with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency. We currently have one full‑time temporary role for up to 12 months, to be filled in January 2026 (with possibility of further term and/or permanency) at our Broome campus. Key Pool Details How to apply: You can apply anytime during the open pool period. Application reviews: Applications are expected to be assessed every 3 months, but this can vary based on operational needs. Pool selection: Only those applicants who have been assessed as suitable through a merit selection process can be considered for selection to the pool. Appointment from the pool to a vacancy is not guaranteed. Outcome: You will receive advice that you have been recommended for appointment to the pool or that you were unsuccessful for appointment to the pool. If you're not successful, you can request feedback and reapply in the future. Appointments: May be made from this pool until 30 July 2028. About the Position We are seeking a passionate Lecturer who will be responsible for delivering training and assessment for Community Services qualifications from Certificate II to Diploma level. This role involves facilitating engaging learning experiences, conducting competency‑based assessments, and supporting students across a variety of settings, including classrooms, workplaces, and online environments. As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in preparing students for meaningful careers in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work, and Family Violence by sharing your expertise and industry insights. Responsibilities & Expectations Students will benefit from the Lecturer’s experience in community services. The Lecturer will: Deliver training and assessment for Community Services qualifications from Certificate II to Diploma level. Facilitate engaging learning experiences across physical, virtual, and workplace settings. Conduct competency‑based assessments and support student progress. Collaborate with staff to maintain curriculum relevance and quality standards. Qualifications & Requirements A minimum of 5 years of industry or lecturing experience in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work or Family Violence. Relevant vocational qualifications at or above Diploma level. It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it. Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials must be willing to enrol and complete an approved training and assessment credential within two years from commencement. Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.
