Paediatric Respiratory Physician – Northern Health Reference Number: 52619 Employment Type: On Going Part Time (PT) Location: Northern Health (All Campuses) About Northern Health Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub‑acute, mental health, specialist, community and home‑based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north, supported by five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, Mernda Community Hospital and Kilmore District Hospital. About the Role This role will contribute to the development of paediatric respiratory services across Northern Health. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing the Paediatric Respiratory outreach clinics based at Mernda Community Hospital Supervision and training of junior medical staff (including advanced paediatric/community registrars) Providing direct and indirect supervision for the Paediatric registrar Contributing to case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding factors that impact on the care of children attending the paediatric respiratory clinics at Northern Health Supporting academic, research, education, training & supervision in the Unit Requirements Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential – MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalent. A fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (or equivalent).
