Role: Sr. Finance Manager Location: Melbourne Banyan Software is seeking a strategic, hands-on finance leader to elevate a growing portfolio of enterprise software companies through operational excellence, scalable reporting, and post-acquisition integration. Reporting to the Operating Partner for the Financial Services Vertical and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer for Banyan, this role blends controllership, FP&A, systems improvement, and people leadership and serves as a launchpad to VP Finance or CFO. What You’ll Own Lead financial strategy, planning, and analysis for a group of acquired OpCos Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, re-forecasts, and performance analyses Act as finance business partner to OpCo leaders, translating results into decisions Accounting, Close & Reporting Own month-end close and reporting (US GAAP) with high accuracy and speed Deliver consistent OpCo-level financials aligned with Banyan’s consolidated reporting Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of audit and statutory filings M&A Integration & Playbook Execution Support M&A diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning Own post-close financial integration including accounting clean-up and reporting setup Deploy standard finance playbooks across acquired entities Implement and maintain strong internal controls across all OpCos Collaborate with shared service teams (Pakistan, India) to automate reporting and optimize working capital Champion systems upgrades and data-driven improvements (e.g., NetSuite, Power BI) Lead and mentor a high-performing international finance team Guide career development, cross-training, and succession planning Promote a culture of execution, accountability, and growth What We’re Looking For CPA/CA required; MBA or advanced credentials are an asset 10+ years in progressively senior finance roles, ideally in software or PE-backed environments Track record of building and leading finance teams across multiple entities Technical + Strategic Fluency Deep expertise in AASB/IFRS close processes, external audit readiness, and statutory financial reporting Strong financial modeling and variance analysis skills Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP; comfort with systems/process design Leadership + Influence Proven ability to influence across functions and geographies Hands-on leader who balances detail with strategy Committed to elevating team performance and operational maturity Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Equal Employment Opportunity at Banyan: Banyan affirms that inequality is detrimental to our Global Teams, associates, our Operating Companies, and the communities we serve.
