About The Role A permanent opportunity exists for a dynamic Strategy Business Partner (SBP) to join our Group Strategy function. In this pivotal role, you will partner with senior stakeholders to shape and execute Coles’ strategic priorities, ensuring we remain a world class retailer. You’ll play a critical role in turning insights into action, supporting decision-making at the highest level, and driving initiatives that deliver long‑term value. Deliver fact‑based insights to inform business strategies, the corporate plan, and solutions to critical challenges. Partner with Strategy Managers and the Head of Group Strategy to design and execute Coles’ strategy. Apply structured problem‑solving and rigorous analysis to develop initiatives and define success metrics for strategic issues. Act as a strategic thought partner to senior stakeholders, driving execution of key initiatives. Conduct high‑quality quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve complex business problems. Synthesise findings into clear recommendations that enable effective execution. Take ownership of project success within your area of responsibility, ensuring timely and impactful delivery. Identify risks to in‑scope projects and support the development of mitigation plans. About You And Your Skills Previous experience in management consulting (ideally MBB), investment banking, or retail strategy. Proven expertise in complex analytical problem‑solving (e.g., hypothesis‑based approaches). Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and tools such as PowerPoint and Excel. Experience managing work‑streams within large‑scale projects. Ability to craft and contribute to board‑level presentations and reports. Strong communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders. Experience collaborating across cross‑functional business units.
