About the Role We’re seeking a compassionate Outreach Worker to join our Street Yarning program in Armadale. This role offers you the opportunity to support vulnerable individuals through brief interventions, mentoring, and practical assistance such as food, clothing, and referrals. You’ll build trusted relationships and deliver culturally competent, inclusive support, making a real impact in people’s lives. This is a full-time, fixed-term position working Monday to Friday with varied hours to meet the needs of the community. Roster Thursday: 10:30am–6:30pm What’s on Offer $44.58/hour + superannuation Salary packaging benefits to boost your take-home pay 76 hours per fortnight, full-time Monday to Friday roster – no weekends Employee Assistance Program – free counselling for employees and immediate family Discounts on private health insurance The chance to be part of a supportive, mission-driven team that celebrates your successes and stands by you through challenges You’ll Need Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work, Mental Health, Counselling or a relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing) or equivalent experience 2–3 years' experience in homelessness, drug and alcohol, or mental health sectors Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and experience delivering culturally safe programs Experience working with trauma, co-occurring issues, and people experiencing homelessness Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills High-level problem-solving and autonomy in field-based work Valid C or A Class driver’s licence Current National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and relevant work referees Experience in outreach service delivery Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practice or willingness to undertake training First Aid/Mental Health First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Experience building partnerships with community service providers and agencies Next Steps To apply, submit your application online.
