This pivotal role involves shaping and implementing governance frameworks for spatial environments, ensuring all content creation within ArcGIS Enterprise is secure, consistent, and compliant with best practice. You will define standards, roles, and workflows that underpin the agency's spatial data management. To excel as a Spatial Governance Officer in this setting you will bring proven expertise in managing complex geospatial environments - particularly within ArcGIS Enterprise - and a deep understanding of how governance frameworks underpin quality assurance in public sector organisations. Your background should include hands‑on experience defining user roles and privileges; developing clear documentation; establishing practical publishing guidelines; implementing metadata standards; overseeing version control; and integrating new workflows into existing administrative structures. Your interpersonal skills will be essential as you engage stakeholders at all levels-translating technical requirements into accessible guidance while fostering collaboration between ICT teams and business units. Familiarity with ITSM practices will further enhance your ability to support ongoing operations effectively. While formal qualifications are not mandatory for this position, prior exposure to the spatial industry or related fields would be advantageous. Above all else your commitment to responsible data stewardship combined with your enthusiasm for continuous learning will set you apart. Demonstrated knowledge of spatial data governance principles combined with a strong understanding of ICT policy frameworks relevant to public sector organisations. Proven experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise environments including Portal workflows, user role definition, access privilege assignment, and content management protocols. Exceptional ability to document complex processes clearly while developing practical guidelines that can be easily adopted by diverse teams across the organisation. Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills supported by excellent written and verbal communication abilities which enable you to build consensus around new governance initiatives. Experience establishing publishing guidelines such as metadata standards, naming conventions, version control procedures, and lifecycle tracking for spatial datasets. A collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams coupled with a commitment to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in service delivery. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) practices including incident handling, problem resolution, change management, release coordination, configuration oversight, service catalogue maintenance, or service level monitoring is highly desirable. Desirable: Previous experience working within the spatial industry or similar environments where geospatial technologies are leveraged for planning or operational purposes. Desirable: Familiarity with ITSM practices (e.g., change management, incident handling). #J-18808-Ljbffr
