GENERAL MANAGER CORPORATE & COMMUNITY SERVICES Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is one of Australia’s largest and most active Registered Native Title Bodies Corporates, representing the Nyiyaparli People across approximately 36,000 square kilometres of land and waters in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Based in South Hedland, with a secondary presence in Newman, KNAC operates at significant scale with sizeable annual operating expenditures and is supported by strong governance arrangements. It manages multiple high-value Agreements with major resource proponents and a broad range of corporate, community, heritage and cultural services. The substantive heritage activity is managed internally, and the organisation oversees an expanding portfolio of commercial enterprises, joint ventures, pastoral operations, community partnerships and member support services. It is continuing to mature commercially, with a clear focus on sustainable, long-term outcomes for its members. The Position Based from the South Hedland corporate office, you will report to the CEO, and will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and will provide strategic and operational leadership across KNAC’s corporate functions and community service portfolios. Your key responsibilities would be: Executive leadership of corporate services including finance, governance, risk, ICT, Communications, HR, facilities, fleet and administration. Oversight of community, housing and member services to ensure culturally appropriate, well-governed delivery aligned to member priorities. Acting as the primary executive contact for the Trustee on day-to-day operational matters. Oversight of outsourced finance, HR and ICT providers, with a focus on strengthening internal capability. Ensuring sound financial management, budgeting and reporting across a complex operating environment. Providing high-quality advice to the CEO and Board on organisational performance, risk and compliance. Translating strategic objectives into effective operational and business plans. Leading a multidisciplinary team of approximately 15 staff, including six direct reports, across multiple locations. About You You will be an experienced leader with the capability and judgement to operate effectively in a complex Aboriginal organisation with strong governance and commercial activity. Additionally, you will bring: Senior executive or general management experience across corporate services and community or stakeholder-facing functions. Strong financial literacy, including oversight of budgets and outsourced service arrangements. Demonstrated experience in governance, risk management and regulatory compliance. A good understanding of working with indigenous communities or in a cross-cultural context. A collaborative, grounded leadership style with the ability to build trust and accountability. Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, including trustees, partners and service providers. Tertiary qualifications in business, management, governance or a related discipline.
