Holiday Program Volunteer

Responsibilities Provide support and supervision to children within the holiday program; including welcoming children, engaging them in various activities throughout the day and assisting parents with the sign‑out process at completion. Supervise and support holiday program activities; these may include baking dog treats, creating enrichment items for cats, dogs and rabbits and touring the adoption centre. Maintain program delivery areas in a neat and tidy manner, in line with staff instructions and WHS standards; including set and pack down of activities/equipment, maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen/food preparation areas. Other activities as agreed, to support the holiday program operations in line with RSPCA Victoria’s Child Safe policy. Qualifications Essential Background/experience in working with children under 12 years of age. Current Working with Children Check or equivalent. Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact and engage with children in the program environment. Ability to take verbal and written directions and follow set policy and processes of RSPCA Victoria. Ability to work independently within the program environment. Shows initiative. Good attention to detail. Desirable RSPCA Volunteer experience.
