SRJ Walker Wayland is an accounting, advisory and audit firm dedicated to building genuine relationships with our clients and staff utilising a holistic business approach to achieve both business and personal goals. We are an expanding Queensland based firm with a team of approximately 75 people across our locations in Brendale and on the Sunshine Coast, as well as an offshore team. Our firm positions strategic planning as one of its core offerings guiding the elements of Tax, Audit and Accounting. The SRJ Walker Wayland team services SME's, non-profit organisations, corporations, partnerships and individuals across areas of Accounting, Audit & Assurance, Business Solutions and Business Advisory. Being part of the Walker Wayland Australasia network means SRJ Walker Wayland team have access to resources and advice from members in other accounting firms across Australia and New Zealand which is beneficial in assisting our clients across many areas and including those we may not necessarily specialise in. About the Role We are looking for a manager to join our team on a full‑time basis, based in our Brendale office. This is an opportunity to work with and manage a team and/or clients, reporting directly to your partner. Responsibilities In this role you will work with a diverse client base across a broad range of industry sectors. Your responsibilities will include the management and delegation of workflow around compliance, cash flow forecasts, management reports, tax research and advisory work. You must have solid business services and tax experience with a variety of clients, as well as demonstrated advisory skills with exceptional communication skills. Qualifications 5+ years experience within business services accounting. Demonstrated experience in a management role is preferred. Comprehensive understanding of Australian tax legislation. Strong tax advisory skills. Demonstrated ability to delegate and review work. Demonstrated ability to train and mentor lower-level accountants encouraging development of skills, both technical and interpersonal. Confidence in working with clients to propose advisory and ‘other services’ work to help clients meet their overall business objectives. Strong organizational and time management skills. A strong degree of initiative. Enthusiasm and self‑motivation.
