Job Opportunity: Workshop Assistant – Casual Pay Rate: $32 per hour (based on experience)Start Date: ImmediateHours: 38–40 hours per weekLocation: Maddington-based We're seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Tactile Ground Surface Indicator (TGSI) Maker and Installer . About Us We're a small, family‑run business based in Maddington. We maintain a relaxed and easy‑going work environment where everyone contributes and gets the job done without fuss or workplace drama. While our approach is casual, our standards are high — we take pride in doing things properly the first time. As a small team, every person's work ethic directly affects the rest of the group, so we expect each team member to give their best effort consistently. What are TGSIs? Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSIs) are textured ground tiles installed in public spaces to assist people with vision impairments. These tiles provide essential guidance and warning cues through their raised patterns, helping to make communities safer and more inclusive. About the Role: This hands‑on role involves the manufacturing of TGSI in our Maddington workshop and also helping out our install crew. You'll be working independently and occasionally supporting the workshop team when time allows. Key Responsibilities: Empty tile racks in the morning Mix small batches of cement roughly 10 kg in weight Make tactiles for the day Assist in the workshop with general duties as needed Requirements: Fit and healthy – the role involves regular bending and lifting Ability to lift up to 20 kg regularly as part of daily duties Strong time management and communication skills Ability to work independently with initiative Neat, tidy, and detail‑focused work ethic Available for immediate start Valid work visa or Australian work rights required Tiling / Bricklaying / Hands‑on experience will be looked upon favourably Work references to verify past experience and reliability What We Offer: Casual position: 38–40 hours per week Hourly rate: $32 Friendly, no‑drama workplace culture Stable, ongoing work in a supportive environment Variety between workshop and on‑site tasks for the right applicant #J-18808-Ljbffr
