Key Responsibilities Provide specialist engineering advice and guidance to support operations & projects Conduct troubleshooting and repair/replacement of shipboard components Support engineering design activities (eg: feasibility studies, design drawings, design reports, installation specifications, test plans, etc) Ensure all projects are completed on time and budget Complete JSEA’s, Permits to Work, Isolations and Risk Analysis Produce written & photographic reports of tasks completed Liaise with clients, including sourcing and quoting new work Identify opportunities for continuous improvement Main Requirements & Qualifications A minimum of 2 years’ project engineering experience within marine/heavy industry Tertiary Engineering degree Marine/offshore experience Experience developing and utilising engineering design drawings and specifications Experience developing detailed scopes of work, project schedules and budgets Advanced leadership, communication and people management skills Self-starter with strong initiative and motivation characteristics Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential Strong IT skill set for use of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, MS Power Automate and MS Power Apps. Strong Autocad, Solidworks and Solidworks Simulation Skills Ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation for fabrication and installation of mechanical components Excelent report writing skills Must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents for security requirements About Company Sofraco are a premium engineering service supplier to Defence, Marine and Commercial industries.
